It's Like Beard Oil- October Ministry Update

How good and how pleasant it is when

brothers dwell together in unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the head,

running down on the beard,

running down Aaron's beard,

down the collar of his robes.

Psalm 133:1-2

Hello, my friends!

God is good. October was filled with him. I wish you could've been with me this month, experiencing God on the campus as he was working. But! I should catch myself. I know that God is working everywhere, not just on the campus. I'd love to hear how YOU have seen God working this month.
With that being said, I'd love to share with you a few of the ways I've seen God at work at Collin College last month. Here we go!

Thursday Night Fellowship:

TNF has moved into a new room! The days of shuffling chairs and tables in the cafe are over. Embrace the days of a visible projector screen, great acoustics, and hype! We've been filling out our new lecture hall every week to the point of running out of chairs and even having a few students sitting on the stairs at the sides. In case you're concerned, we're not breaking fire code by going over capacity... we're breaking fire code by having absolutely LIT fellowship nights! :P
The lower picture was posted in a Collin focus GroupMe, where one student shared,
"I had a blast for my first time at Focus y’all thank you for everything 🙏🙌 I’m definitely coming every week and enjoyed meeting everyone creating new friends and here to talk and text if anyone needs it hope y’all have a amazing day !!! God is truely special ✝️" [sic]
    Praise God!

Fall Camp:

One weekend in October, Collin Focus went out to Mount Lebanon retreat center to develop deeper relationships, worship God, play silly games, listen to sermons and more! We call it Fall Camp. I wish I got a picture of some of the games that we played, but you'll just have to trust me that it was a blast. I saw God really working in the guys that had came from my core (my small group). One of the young men that I'm studying with said at the end of Fall Camp, "I talked with God for the first time" and "I want to learn more about what God wants me to do in my life, and do that instead of act according to what I think is right and wrong". Thank you so much for supporting and praying for students like my friend, and for giving them opportunities to see that they can talk with God and obey him even today.

Wylie Northeast Church:

I love my church! The first picture of the three is a group of us eating at Braum's after a Sunday service. How good and pleasant it is when a brothers and sisters eat together!
My church, like Collin Focus, also had a retreat one weekend in October! It was Halloween weekend, so we hosted a trunk-or-treat. Hence, my girlfriend and I dressed up as Shrek and Fiona, respectively. I cherished building relationships with some of the older members of our body, as well as some of the younger ones! Building new friendships with the kiddos was especially fun.

Blessed Friendship:

I've had the blessing of getting to study the Bible with this student, and wow! I can't share many specifics, but I am incredibly thankful for our friendship. I've really seen God surprise me through him, and I'm excited for how God is going to work in him yet. Please be praying for him!
